MBG Faculty Dr. Steven Footitt invited to present the Alfred Mayer Plenary Lecture at the International Society for Seed Science conference

At the International Society for Seed Science conference in July at Sorbonne University, Paris, Dr Steven Footitt was invited to present the Alfred Mayer Plenary Lecture. The lecture entitled, "Seeds as climate adapted environmental sensors" discussed his group's work on understanding how genes regulating seed behavior in the model plant Arabidopsis have adapted to enable survival in diverse climates and how understanding this may help in breeding the climate smart crops needed by farmers.
